This is not a complete how-to guide for SPT-AKI and its many mods or numerous updates, but instead an informative jump-start article to introduce the system.
SPT-AKI stands for “Single-Player Tarkov” and features the Kanji for “Aki”, meaning “autumn” in Japanese. It is a system of mods that provide for an offline single-player experience in Escape From Tarkov with progression, enabling players to experience the full magnitude of the game on their own.
It uses a separate server and launcher system from those used by Battlestate Games for official online play. SPT users can play entirely offline, with full access to their game even when Battlestate servers are down. Though the process feels different and involves measures outside of normal methods for running games like Escape From Tarkov, SPT-AKI is very user-friendly and easy to maintain. There will be a console window listing each operation that the system carries out, with alerts whenever there is a problem, and a custom SPT launcher to actually run the game from.

As stated on the page, this will copy the contents of your local Escape From Tarkov installation into the same folder as its executable. Then, it patches those files to a version SPT can use. Finally, it downloads and installs the SPT core files into that same folder.
Having downloaded the automatic installer, place it inside of a new folder that will become your SPT-AKI directory. Run the installer and watch its progress, addressing any issues stated in red. Once complete, close the installer box to end the operation. SPT-AKI should now be fully installed on your system.
The SPT-AKI launcher is straightforward and shows account information. A player’s username, faction, level, and EXP are shown. Launcher account settings can be found in the top right. The button marked “Start Game” will launch Single-Player Tarkov with all parameters and mods in effect.
